Ph.D. research assistantship

Applications are invited for a Ph.D. opportunity in geochemistry with an initial three-year research assistantship in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Missouri—Columbia, U.S.A.  The research assistantship is for a project aimed at experimentally quantifying the partitioning of base metals between brine and dolomite under conditions typical for the formation of hydrothermal sediment-hosted base metal ore deposits.  The Ph.D. position and research assistantship will begin on January 18, 2022.  Application instructions can be found at https://geology.missouri.edu/graduate-program.  The application deadline is November 1, 2021.  For more information, please contact Martin Appold at appoldm@missouri.edu.
