This is the position of Astrophysicist (Post-Doctoral Research Fellow) in the High Energy Astrophysics Division. The purpose of this position is to train postdoctoral researchers to conceive, plan, and conduct highly specialized research in astrophysics. The incumbent will be expected to perform scholarly research and participate in making contributions to the physical fields of science. Duties will include conducting a program of research and scholarship, assisting in the development of software and procedures for the reduction, analysis and interpretation of data, and engaging in the dissemination of the scientific results. 

The incumbent will work as part of the Solar-Stellar X-ray Group (SSXG) and focus on research in the area of space physics with a particular emphasis on near-Sun, solar wind plasma data from Parker Solar Probe.
