The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES) at Lehigh University invites applications from motivated students interested in pursuing an M.S or Ph.D. Typically, applicants to the EES graduate program have earned science baccalaureate degrees (eg. Geological Sciences, Biological Sciences, Environmental Science, Physics or Chemistry), but we encourage students with work experience and other types of training to talk with us.
The prospective students must be admitted to the Lehigh University Earth and Environmental Sciences graduate program (https://ees.cas.lehigh.edu/node/5) and will conduct research at Lehigh University, in Bethlehem, PA, USA. To apply, refer to: https://cas.lehigh.edu/content/applyinquire
Application for admission requires official academic transcripts, letters of recommendation from academic contacts, and statements describing research and career interests and a candidate's expected contribution to diversity, equity, or inclusion. Support by one or more EES faculty advocates is also considered for admission. Results from a TOEFL exam are required of all applicants whose native language is not English. Application fee waivers are available to any candidates that attend the EES Graduate Program Virtual Open House on November 16 (https://ees.cas.lehigh.edu/content/ees-graduate-program-virtual-open-house-november-16th).
The M.S or PhD position(s) are expected to start in fall of 2022 and include stipend, tuition, and benefits. If you are interested in the positions, send a brief description of your research interests and current CV to a faculty member with whom you may wish to work (https://ees.cas.lehigh.edu/people#Faculty). The deadline for full consideration of applications to the Lehigh EES graduate program is January 1, 2022.
