As part of the University of Idaho's College of Science cluster hire focused on the response of biological communities to global change, we seek a colleague who applies geographic information, analysis or modeling to research global change and the interactions with natural or managed biological systems at any scale. Example research programs include but are not limited to: responses of species or communities; impacts on processes such as fluxes of energy, water, carbon, and nutrients on ecosystem services (e.g., food, recreation); or development or assessment of human actions to reduce the impacts of global change on biological systems (such as using forests to reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations). This scholar will build upon the department's existing strengths in climate and other natural hazards, water, and geospatial analysis and modeling. Details of the Cluster Hire are found at College of Science Cluster Hire | University of Idaho (https://www.uidaho.edu/sci/news/cluster-hire). A full position description is available on the application page (https://uidaho.peopleadmin.com/postings/33634).
Priority consideration will be given to applicants who apply by December 17th.
