A PhD research assistantship in Geophysics is open at the Department of Geological & Mining Engineering & Sciences, Michigan Technological University, United States. This multidisciplinary project is sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture to develop novel machine learning based methodologies to process and interpret a newly designed Ground Penetrating Rada system for soil characterization. The project will include field work, data processing, and data inversion.
The successful candidate should have a background in geophysics with strong computational skills
