The faculty of Civil Engineering & Geosciences (CEG) strives to make a significant contribution to solving current societal challenges, such as impacts of urbanisation, climate change, adaptation and mitigation, transition to renewable energy sources, the improvement of health and well-being, and equality and inclusiveness. Just to name a few, but each of them exciting and challenging themes, guaranteeing you an exciting academic career. For the new academic year we will recruit several new Assistant Professors. Our new colleagues will be employed in a Tenure Track with a contract for six years. During this period there will be lots of opportunities for personal development.

We are committed to outstanding international research and education in the field of civil engineering, applied earth sciences, traffic and transport, water technology, and delta technology. Our research feeds into our educational programmes and covers societal challenges such as climate change, energy transition, resource availability, urbanisation & mobility and the availability of clean water, conducted in close cooperation with a wide range of research institutions. CEG is convinced that Open Science helps to achieve our goals and supports its scientists in integrating Open Science in their research practice.
