We are a small group of Professors with different backgrounds who obtained a grant from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), and we would like to recruit two (2) graduate research student assistants to work on the project for about two years. The project will serve as their Masters' theses as well. If you are interested in completing a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with our Department, please send a current resume, your undergraduate (and graduate) coursework transcripts and a list of current publications for a possibility to get an online interview with the research team. A civil/construction engineering bachelor science degree and an overall 3.0 GPA are required to get acceptance into our graduate program. Geotechnical background and knowledge is preferred. Title of the project: Nondestructive/Noncontact Inspection Protocols and Technologies for Aging Mechanically Stabilized Earth and Modular Block Retaining Walls. Only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview. To be considered, send all your application materials to: mmaghiar@georgiasouthern.edu (Attn: Dr. Marcel Maghiar), as soon as possible, but no later than July 31, 2022.
