Earned doctorate or ABD by date of application in the geosciences with an emphasis in structural geology. If ABD, all degree requirements must be completed by June 15th of the first year of employment (e.g., for a September 2023 start date, all degree requirements must be completed by June 15, 2024).
Evidence of the ability to effectively teach structural geology, and contribute to field mapping courses
Demonstrated record of, or commitment to, cultivating learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds
Demonstrated record of, or commitment to, establishing a high-quality research program in geology that includes mentoring and training of undergraduate and graduate student researchers
Demonstrated record of, or commitment to, obtaining external research funding

Postdoctoral experience and strong research record in appropriate geoscience fields
Teaching experience using student-centered approaches to foster active learning
Evidence of the ability to teach upper-division and graduate courses in Geology
Evidence of the ability to teach intro or physical geology
