Faculty Position in Water and Climate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton University

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Princeton University invites applications for a faculty position with a preferred start date of September 1, 2023. The search is open for Assistant, Associate and Full Professor appointments. A Ph.D. degree in an appropriate field is required. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton University has a long history of scholarly research related to water. The current search is for faculty working at the forefront of research in water and climate who will add strength in emerging topics and challenges in hydrologic sciences and water engineering.

The department has strong undergraduate and graduate programs in both environmental engineering and civil engineering. Applicants should have interest in, and competence for, teaching foundational undergraduate and advanced graduate courses in CEE. Candidates must have the ability and motivation to develop a vigorous independent research program and to participate in collaborative efforts of the faculty. The CEE department has strong ties with other departments, centers, and institutes at Princeton that focus on energy and environmental research, climate modeling, urban science, architecture, and policy; the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop initiatives that establish and strengthen such connections.
