Postdoctoral associates can be mentored by one or more IBES faculty working in the same or different fields of study (for an eligible list of faculty mentors please see below).  Each applicant must coordinate with their chosen IBES faculty mentor(s) prior to submitting their application for this position.  Diversity, equity and inclusion are integral to the commitment of IBES and Brown University, and IBES seeks qualified candidates who can contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion through service, mentorship, teaching and scholarship.

Appointments will have an expected term of two years starting sometime in the summer or early fall of 2022.  Voss Postdoctoral Research Associates receive a salary of $68,000, plus benefits and a discretionary research fund of up to $4,000.  The selected candidates are expected to devote their appointment to research activities, but in special cases they may have the opportunity to also teach undergraduate courses.

Accordingly, the department seeks qualified candidates who can contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion through service, mentorship, teaching and scholarship. Further, the department is keenly interested in diversifying its ranks and encourages applications from diverse candidates.
