The successful candidate will be expected to establish a research program focused on the integration of geospatial technologies with environmental science. The specific environmental application is open; we welcome applicants with research areas in climate science, ecology, hydrology, and air quality as well sustainable communities and environmental justice, among other topics associated with the application of geospatial science to environmental issues from local to global scales.

Minimum Qualifications: At the time of hire applicants must have a Ph.D. in an environmental science-related field with extensive experience in a geospatial science area or a Ph.D. in geospatial science with substantial application in an environmental science field. Additionally, applicants must have a strong record of teaching at the university level, evidence of scholarship, and an understanding of and commitment to support the mission of the University of San Francisco. The successful candidate must be able to offer their reflections on equity, and strategies for success in engaging with BIPoC students.

Additional materials may be requested later in the process. Any questions may be addressed to mailto:envssearch@usfca.edu. Review of completed applications will begin on December 16, 2022 and continue until the position is filled.
