Assistant Professor in Remote Sensing and Data Science

A new assistant professor in remote sensing data science would be expected to have demonstrated excellence in publishing, code development and sharing, and teaching in environmental data science which will include remote sensing, developing methods in remote sensing applications, machine learning, and environmental big data used to help inform and solve environmental sustainability problems with data-rich approaches. The successful candidate will teach both core quantitative approaches and remote sensing courses in the department’s undergraduate and graduate programs focused on ecosystems, water, and food system sustainability and/or develop new graduate-level remote sensing courses in their area of expertise.
