The Department of Earth and Environmental Science at Wheaton College, Illinois, invites applications for a permanent, part-time, geoscience lecturer position, starting Fall semester 2023.

We are seeking a qualified individual with a passion for teaching geology and environmental science-themed introductory courses and the expertise to cover undergraduate geology major curricular requirements in one or more of the following areas: sedimentary geology; structural geology and field methods; geology and climate change; and/or geophysics. Ability to teach GIS coursework or to mentor students in research would be of additional value. It is also expected that the candidate will be intentional in their role to help facilitate diversity and inclusion in our department community. The teaching load would be 16 credit hours per academic year with additional opportunities for employment during summer field courses at the Wheaton College Science Station in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
