A Research Scientist I Position is available at the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory of Colorado State University. Scientists are encouraged to apply that have experience with application of remote sensing products in ecosystem models. The main position responsibilities include advancing process-based modeling of plant production and soil processes, collaboration with team members and project partners, and communicating results by publishing in peer-review journals and policy reports. The new hire will work with a group of scientists led by Dr. Stephen Ogle to advance modeling of greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural lands at regional, national, and global scales to address basic research questions and conduct policy analysis for the US Department of Agriculture and US Environmental Protection Agency.
