Tenure-Track Position in Planetary Science and Instrumentation

The Hawai‘i Institute of Geophysics and Planetology, University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, seeks applicants for one tenure-track faculty position. This is a permanent, full time tenure-track position with nine months of state funding annually. The appointee is expected to fund the remainder through extramural funds. Anticipated start date is August 1, 2023 or as mutually agreed. The appointment will be made at either the Assistant Researcher (R3M11) or the Associate Researcher level (R4M11; both position number 0086576).

We are looking for a planetary scientist with experience in the development of associated remote sensing instrumentation. The successful candidate shall establish a vigorous and extramurally funded research program in support of these activities, shall advise, mentor, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, and shall publish research results in the refereed literature.
