Instruction of lecture and laboratory components in Earth 408: Introduction to GIS in the Earth Sciences (3 credits), an undergraduate course in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences for the fall and winter terms (8/28/2023 – 4/30/2024) up to 100% effort, with the option to teach one or more additional courses in the areas of introductory geology, structural geology, mineral resource sustainability, or hydrology. Instruction includes preparation and delivery of lectures and laboratory exercises; grading exams and homework assignments; supervision of Graduate Student Instructors; grading of assignments, quizzes, and exams; and meeting with students during office hours.
The appointment is for Fall Term 2023 and Winter Term 2024 (August 28, 2023 – April 30, 2024).
