The Department of Environmental Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science at New York University invites applications for a tenured position in Environmental Sciences at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. We encourage applications from scholars across scientific disciplines with research interests in environmental science, and are particularly interested in researchers working at the nexus of energy, water, and food. The successful applicant will have a strong record of research and publishing. They will be committed to educating students in programs hosted by the Environmental Studies department, including the Environmental Studies undergraduate program, the anticipated Environmental Studies PhD program (expected to launch in Fall 2024), and/or the Animal Studies masters (MA) and undergraduate minor programs. Finally, they will be excited to work within a department that emphasizes and encourages transdisciplinary scholarship and systems thinking, and with a faculty whose work spans the natural and social sciences and the humanities. Qualifications
Candidates should possess a PhD, have an integrative research program that shows leadership in the field of Environmental Studies, and have demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Pay Transparency Statement
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 –$145,000 at the rank of Associate Professor and $120,000 – $180,000 at the rank of full Professor. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
