Job Details

Please see details below for multiple opportunities for postdoctoral positions at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) at the University of California San Diego (UCSD):

Position 1. Postdoctoral position in hydroclimatic variability and extremes in the coastal Western U.S.

The Scholar will be focused on hydro-climatological data analysis and modeling related to climate and hydrologic variability and extremes in the Western U.S., and terrestrial freshwater and oceanic interactions relevant to California water management. This research will be carried out within a large, multi-campus UC effort focused on equitable stewardship of California’s water in a changing climate.

For details, please see the complete description for Position 1 at this link:

Position 2. Postdoctoral position in applied ecohydrology and water management in the Western U.S.

The Scholar will be focused on data-intensive research related to climate variability and change, ecohydrology, and water management in California and the Southwestern U.S. The scholar will have the opportunity to explore research within two large NSF-funded projects focused on: (i) understanding vegetation-temperature relationships and the water sustainability of urban greening strategies to address extreme heat; and (ii) quantifying interactions between humans and water resources to support decentralized management of integrated water resources in California.
