Position Description VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF EARTH & ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES: Spring 2024
The Tulane Earth & Environmental Sciences Department is seeking a person to teach two courses per semester: a large section of an introductory Earth & Environmental Science course (~60-80 students) and an additional undergraduate course in their field of specialty. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach classes that serve our Geographic Information Sciences Certificate. Opportunities exist for research in collaboration with existing research groups in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department. The position will be for eighteen (18) months.
Qualifications The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences, Geography, or a closely related discipline. Prior teaching experience is not required but is advantageous. Good communication skills are a must.
