A research assistantship is available for a Ph.D. student interested in hydrological modeling and understanding the fate and transport of pollutants in agricultural soils. A strong background/interest in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: soil and water engineering, ArcGIS, HYDRUS modeling, and computer programming. Starting date is Spring 2024. The research assistantship will include a tuition waiver and a competitive stipend. Women and Ethnic Minorities are encouraged to apply.

 

Responsibilities: The graduate assistant will participate in field data collection, laboratory studies, and water quality modeling. The graduate assistant will be expected to conduct original research, present research results at conferences, and publish peer-reviewed journal articles. In addition, the graduate assistant will assist in other instruction and outreach efforts in the department, including assistance with teaching activities.

 

Qualifications: Minimum qualification includes earned M.S. degree from an accredited institution in Biosystems, Biological, or Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related engineering field by the position start date.
