The Department of Geology at Wichita State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in mineralogy and/or petrology beginning August 2024.  In particular, we seek a candidate with research expertise related to the occurrence, extraction, or use of critical minerals. In addition to developing an externally funded research program, successful candidates will be expected to teach introductory, major, and graduate level classes. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in the Geosciences, an established record of publication commensurate with the applicant's career stage and is expected to complement our existing departmental strengths in low-temperature geochemistry, hydrogeology, geospatial analysis, petroleum geology, sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology and interact with broader segments of the WSU community.
