Job Description:
The Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at Missouri University of Science & Technology (S&T) is seeking a full-time postdoctoral associate with expertise and interest in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and continued funding. Research will fall within the broad topics of hydrometeorology and hydrology. Of particular interest is development and evaluation of quantitative precipitation estimation and forecast, and their impact on streamflow prediction at a variety of spatial and temporal scales. The research team is open to other relevant research topics and encourages all qualified applicants to apply. We also strongly encourage applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or related field prior to starting this position is required. Candidates from subsets of fields including hydrology, hydrometeorology, and water resources engineering are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience in processing and analyzing large data sets is required. Expertise in computer programming in Python or R is required.
