Tenure-Track or Tenured Faculty Position in Chemical Oceanography

The Department of Ocean Sciences at the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Sciences at the University of Miami (https://ocean-sciences.earth.miami.edu/index.html) invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in the field of Chemical Oceanography.

We seek a broadly trained chemical oceanographer who complements the interdisciplinary nature of our ocean sciences program. While the search is open to all sub-disciplines of chemical oceanography, candidates with emphasis on ocean system analysis are especially encouraged to apply. Relevant areas of research might include—but are not limited to—topics such as biogeochemical observations (including BGC Argo floats), and numerical modeling related to biogeochemical cycles, climate processes and predictions.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography or a related discipline. Faculty will be expected to develop and maintain an internationally recognized research program and teach undergraduate and graduate classes in Chemical Oceanography.

A preference will be given to Assistant Professor, but exceptional candidates can be considered for higher levels. The application material can be submitted via the UM Careers website
