The Department of Geophysics in the Porter School of Environment and Earth Sciences at Tel Aviv University is seeking to fill a tenure-track position in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science for Earth Sciences. The position is primarily for a tenured Assistant Professorship, but candidates at the Associate level will also be considered. We welcome applications from scientists who use advanced data science and machine learning methodologies to address pure or applied problems in the fields of Earth and Planetary Processes, Atmosphere, Climate, and Seismology.
Candidates are expected to advise M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, teach undergraduate and graduate courses at the departmental level, and perform administrative and service duties commensurate with their level of appointment. Hebrew knowledge is preferable but not mandatory.
