The Ocean Science Department at the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science at the University of Miami has an exciting full time opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Associate. This is a two-year postdoc on NSF project C-Streams, joining a UK-US team of ocean physicists and biogeochemists exploring carbon and nutrient fluxes in the Gulf Stream. The success candidate will be leading the processing and analysis of continuous pH, nitrate, and pCO2 measurements collected from moorings in Florida Straits. Opportunity to join research cruises. Experience with in situ biogeochemical instrumentation and related data processing and analysis essential. Experience with temporal and spatial signal processing techniques desirable.
Education: A recent PhD in chemical oceanography or related field.
Experience: Proven ability to formulate scientific hypotheses, conduct rigorous analyses, and clearly communicate scientific results and conclusions in peer-reviewed publications.
