Qualifications: BS in geology, hydrogeology, geophysics, or closely related field
Project description: The goal of this project is to evaluate the extent to which geological heterogeneity influences spatial patterns of NO3-N (nitrate) reduction in the vadose zone and aquifer. Field methods will include transient electromagnetics along with drilling, coring, and sampling. Laboratory methods will include geochemical analysis of sediment and water samples.
Pay and Benefits: Position includes tuition remission for 12 credit hours fall, spring, and summer, annual stipend of $25,000, and subsidized student health insurance.
