We are seeking a PhD student in aquatic ecosystem ecology at the University of Connecticut, Department of Natural Resources & the Environment beginning January, May, or August 2025.  The successful candidate’s research will focus on carbon cycling, nutrient dynamics, and/or greenhouse gas dynamics of aquatic ecosystems, with a focus on ecosystem interfaces (groundwater-surface water, lotic-lentic).  The student will be advised by Dr. Ashley Helton (https://ashleyhelton.weebly.com/).  

Preferred qualifications include an MS or equivalent experience in a relevant field, experience with spatial and empirical aquatic biogeochemistry data, and strong communication skills.
