Assistant Professor – Environmental Engineering

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Colorado State University (CSU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. We are seeking candidates with a strong background and research interests in one or more of the following areas: 

• Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation: Developing technologies and strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance carbon sequestration, and increase resilience to climate impacts like extreme weather, sea-level rise, and changing precipitation patterns.
• Sustainable Water Resources Management: Addressing challenges related to water scarcity, water quality degradation, and sustainable water infrastructure through innovative treatment technologies, efficient irrigation practices, and integrated water resource management.
• Environmental Pollution Control and Remediation: Advancing technologies for monitoring, detecting, and mitigating pollution across air, water, soil, and waste management, including novel remediation techniques and pollution prevention strategies.
• Circular Economy and Resource Recovery: Exploring innovative waste management and resource recovery approaches to promote waste minimization, resource efficiency, and circular economy principles.
• Urban Sustainability and Resilience: Researching sustainable urban development strategies, including green infrastructure, urban planning, and smart city technologies to enhance environmental quality and urban resilience.
