Job Description:

We are seeking a PhD student in Water Resources Management at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, beginning January 2025. The successful candidate’s research will focus on implementing a data-model-policy fusion framework for water resource management, specifically analyzing water budgets to support sustainable water use and sovereignty for tribal communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An M.Sc. or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., hydrology, environmental science, water resources engineering).

  • Experience with water budget analysis, hydrological modeling, and empirical data collection.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in working with diverse communities.
