The Department of Geosciences at Princeton University has an opening for a professional technician in the area of geochronology, appointed at the rank of Associate Professional Specialist or more senior. The successful candidate will support and lead research related to high-precision U-Pb geochronology by ID-TIMS.

Duties will include laboratory management, instrument upkeep and maintenance, and will direct training and assistance of internal and external laboratory users. There will also be opportunities to lead one's own research program.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Isotope Geosciences or related field, although especially qualified individuals with a Master's degree will be considered. Expertise with TIMS and clean lab protocols is required, and experience with ICPMS is a plus. The position is available for one year, with a possibility for renewal  contingent upon satisfactory performance.
