The School represents the combined efforts of the Department of Geology and Geography that now include the B.S. in Geosciences (concentrations in geology and geography) and the Institute for Coastal Plain Science, along with the rapidly growing B.S. in Sustainability Science, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Science. In addition to being a significant player in the development of interdisciplinary sustainability and environmental degree programs, SEES is a substantial contributor to Georgia Southern’s Coastal Resilience Research Impact Area and is expected to be an integral component of environmental and sustainability teaching and research initiatives currently under development at the Wexford campus in Ireland.
