Dr. Marques is recruiting highly motivated PhD students to join her research group in the Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering Department at Drexel University in the Spring and Fall 2025. Successful candidates will work with large datasets, hydrological/hydraulic models as well as machine learning as tools to describe natural processes, and integrate field data to understand causes and impacts of pressing environmental issues contributing to the development of mitigation strategies to improve water quality and support decision-making.

 

Qualifications: Candidates should have a degree in engineering or environmental science. Dedicated and collaborative individuals, with good communication and scientific writing skills, knowledge of computer programming (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB), applied statistics, and/or experience in data analysis and modeling are strongly encouraged to apply.
