George Mason University Graduate Studies
The Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Earth Sciences (AOES) at George Mason University is seeking qualified applicants for our pioneering Climate Dynamics PhD, our new Climate Science MS, and our comprehensive Earth System Science MS. Funding for tuition and stipend is available on a competitive basis.
About these positions: Our Climate degrees train students to work with complex state-of-the-art models and extremely large data sets, as well as cutting-edge theoretical and applied research on climate, weather, and atmospheric composition. Our Geology degrees emphasize the interconnectedness of Earth systems by linking solid Earth and surficial processes over a wide range of geologic timescales. Students in AOES graduate degrees pursue research in climate change, weather and climate prediction, atmospheric chemistry and air quality, land-ocean-atmosphere interactions, geology, geochemistry, paleontology, oceanography, coastal studies, stratigraphy, and more. For more information, see our Graduate Programs home page or go to https://aoes.gmu.edu.
