The Department of Mathematics at the Courant Institute seeks candidates for an open rank tenure/tenure-track faculty appointment in Atmosphere Ocean Science and Mathematics to begin in September 2025.  The appointment is associated with the Center for Atmosphere Ocean Science (CAOS), a unit within the Institute that focuses on the intersection between applied mathematics and climate science, and hosts its own interdisciplinary Ph.D. program.

Ideal candidates will have proven expertise in the application of innovative computational, mathematical, and data-driven methods to fundamental research in any area of the climate sciences, particularly Earth’s oceans and cryosphere.
