We are looking to bring on board in 2025 two top PhD students for the topic of coupling machine learning with debris flow modelling to boost search and rescue post-landslide disaster
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is ranked 17th in the World and 2nd in Asia according to 2025 QS Ranking. We are a research-intensive university that cultivates the brightest minds from around the world.
We are looking to support two PhD students for 48 months with a monthly stipend of HK$18,760 per month.
The candidate should possess a Bachelor and/or Masters degree from a top university in geology, geotechnical engineering, geophysics, civil engineering, and/or hydrogeology. The candidate must demonstrate a track record of scholarship and curiosity to pursue a research career.
